The Actsmart Household Energy Efficiency Program provides low-income Australian Capital Territory households with a practical approach to help them reduce their energy and water use and save on energy and water bills.
An energy efficiency officer will visit your home, assess your household’s needs, and provide advice, education and products to reduce your energy and water use. All these services are provided for free.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is working with the ACT Government to deliver the program.
The program is available to eligible low-income Australian Capital Territory residents. To check your eligibility you’ll need to contact St. Vincent de Paul by:

- emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Actsmart Home Energy Efficiency Program can help low-income households. An energy efficiency officer will visit you at home and:
- assess your energy and water needs
- provide advice and education on saving energy and water
provide products including:
- an energy-saving information kit
- a shower timer
- a thermometer
- draft excluders.
