The WaterFix Service makes it easier for Sydney Water customers to make their homes more water efficient and save on water and energy bills. A licensed Waterfix plumber will audit your plumbing fixtures, repair tap and toilet leaks, install new water-efficient showerheads, toilets, tap aerators or flow regulators.
The price of goods and services provided under the Service are fixed, except if replacement fittings are required for the repair of a major leak. The complete list of charges is available on the Sydney Water website. Costs vary depending on what work you have done.
A WaterFix plumber can be at your home between 7am and 6pm weekdays, and between 8am and 4pm on Saturdays.
To be eligible for this service, you must:
- live in a residential property that has an authorised or approved connection to a water main owned by Sydney Water
- provide the necessary information by registering over the phone on 1800 807 475
- sign the Completion of Work form provided by the plumber.
At the time of the WaterFix appointment an adult member of your household must be at home and available to provide access for the plumber for the length of the service.
If you are renting you must first get written approval from your landlord authorising Sydney Water to provide the goods and services under the WaterFix Service. A copy of the written approval must be provided to Sydney Water.

The WaterFix Service provides specially trained licensed plumbers to assist Sydney Water customers to make their homes more water-efficient and save on water and energy bills.
There are a number of fixed service charges depending on the repairs and work done to your home.

You should be aware that a base charge of $99 applies to all WaterFix appointments. Saturday appointments include an additional surcharge of $110.
A call-back charge of $99 applies if the Waterfix plumber needs to schedule another appointment to complete the works.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment you should contact Sydney Water to reschedule in order to avoid paying the $99 missed service call charge.
